As a fighter, Ali was the second best HW of all time. Joe Louis gets the first nod from me. Though I was a bit sore about him besting Frazier in their trilogy.
But what I admire most about Ali has nothing to do with what he did inside the ring, and everything to do with what he did outside of it. If any man can turn out to be half the man Ali was, by my estimation that makes you one hell of a human being.

Ali was definitely my favorite fighter, as The Bringer said, not just for what he did inside the ring but for what he had to overcome outside of the ring.
