      Old Age.

Why is James Toney considered so good when in reality he didn't do all that much?

at the stage jones fought them in, or in their primes? i dont think bernard was in his prime when jones fought him. mccallum certainly wasn't. joe may be 36, but i'd consider him close to his prime.

            Toney is overrated imo.

Current Calzaghe easily beats McCallum the night Jones beat him and Toney did nothing against Jones, he was slow and static. Calzaghe beats Toney on the night Jones beat him. And as for Hopkins, Joe has beat him and a modern current Joe would be too big and strong for the Hopkins that lost to Jones.

If you are saying in their primes (and that's how I voted since you did not respond to me), I will go with Bernard or James. It is close. I think I will say Bernard though.

If you are saying at the time that Jones fought them, I'd say Calzaghe though.

James Toney was completely weight drained and fatigued. He was on an I.V. the night preceeding the fight due to extreme dehydration.

Bernard Hopkins was an immature fighter and about 4-5 years short of his prime. He was a LATE bloomer, for sure.

                  Joe looked amazing last night.
