Will he retire now? Should he retire now?

The only reason to carry on IMO is for the money. Nothing to prove in the ring, and there's no-one out there who can beat him.

However, can he resist one last pay-day and a send off in front of 60K at the Millenium stadium?

Half of me wants him to retire, but the other half wants him to fight at the Millenium so I can go and watch it...

In some ways i feel sorry for Joe as he has never faced a prime great fighter and never will, the only fighter out there is Dawson or i would like to see him fight a non stop pressure fighter like Johnson but that will never happen to much risk for no reward.

He probably will retire, there's no one out there that can generate that big payday now. Should he retire? I don't know, he looked like he still had quite a lot left but he looked like he had quite a lot left against a very over the hill Roy Jones so it's hard to say. He definitely can retire without me feeling unsatisfied though.

£10m he made off the Jones fight? Should retire yes. In the ideal world he'd beat up on Dawson, just to stick it to the yanks once and for all.

Always should retire when you're on top. Calzaghe should retire and that includes his old man.

Actually, he should fight... Hopkins, Dawson, Pavlik and Abraham, and retire 50-0.

dawson i the only fighter worth considering but the guy is not box office, hes not a household name yet. it would be an intriguing fight, i think dawson would be a tougher opponent, but i think joe would beat him if he brings his A-game and doesn't mess around so much like he did vs RJJ.

if he retires now though joe is safe in the knowledge that he is definite hall of famer and possible ATG, if he faces dawson then he has it in him to give his welsh fans a proper send off, possibly break the indoor record for a fight and possibly strengthens his claim as an ATG.

Joe would school Pavlik, would beat Dawson with little problems and might struggle vs Hopkins.

                Abraham would be tricky though.
