I honestly don't see the point of National anthems in boxing?!?

I honestly don't care about National Anthems. Mine, or anybody elses. To me it's a useless activity that always holds me back a few extra minutes from seeing a great fight.

I think it's absolutely necessary, I just hate when they get **** singers for the national anthems and when the anthems are being booed.

That's my take on it but I don't put a lot of stock into things I have no control over, like the Nation I just so happened to be born in.

Certain people put a lot of stock in meaningless **** like that, pride of Country, pride of Religion, pride of ethnic background, etc....

To me it's all a bunch of **** that's not worth being proud of. When I think of things a person should be proud of, I think of accomplishments they've achieved. Not things they have no control over, like race and Nationality.

But some people like it, so I guess I'm cool with it. I just view it as a minor aggravation that I forget about once the opening bell rings.
