Look at Roy Jones Jnr and be thankful youve got SOMeONE with the dignity to accept defeat by "the better man" as he himself put it. That human disgrace Hopkins doesnt deserve to be in the same ring as Joe again and he had his chance, talked it up and then ****ed it up.
Joe Calzaghe is 46-0 and beaten everyone put in front of him. Whenever he was faced with mediocrity he looked poor, but whenever the chips were down, he looked like a true champion. Knocked down last night (by a forearm if you look at the replays) he got up and completely dominated RJJ. People talk of RJJs age as if Joe was 10 years younger, not 3 - its pathetic.
Now you want Chad Dawson to fight him? Joe should retire undefeated NOW. He will lose if he carries on fighting and he will never please some of the sickeningly jealous Yanks with no knowledge of the game who have for years called Joe a coward and a slapper, and then, when he does what was asked of him, STILL cant pay respect.

The difference between Hopkins and Jones was Hopkins put up a performance many had him winning the fight with no matter how poor you thought it was. I personally thought Joe won on volume as Hopkins was clearly more accurate with his output.

Calzaghe beat Jones fairly, but that was not THE RJJ we were once accustomed to. That was Roy looking at a last payday who actually thought he had a chance, while Bernard knew he had a chance.

A Hopkins rematch is not out of the question, and in my opinion is the only man who can beat Calzaghe. That being said, Joe should retire happy with his career. BUT, everyone must remember. Being unbeaten doesn't make you an ATG, it is who you beat and when you beat them that makes the difference.

kind of reminds me of a much better boxer named floyd mayweather, except floyd cancome back from retirement and still dominate because of how he trains.
