    Calzaghe vs Dawson!!!

I'll be the first to admit that this fight wasn't a big statement fight for Calzaghe. It wasn't a big stamp on Calzaghe's career. It really wasn't anything.

Joe was supposed to win decisively, and I fully expected him to.

I'm not trying to downgrade RJJ or anything. But the truth of the matter is this:

Joe beat a way over the hill RJJ who was not even half the fighter he was in his prime. It is what it is. For the Calzaghe haters, stop saying Calzaghe is a slapper cos he obviously messed up Roy pretty bad. He's also obviously got some balls, because he stood in RJJs (the consensus harder puncher in the fight) face with his hands at his sides. For the Calzaghe nuthuggers, stop saying this fight was supposed to mean anything, because as a Calzaghe fan with any sense, you're making me look bad.

So with the fight over and done with obviously the next thing thats going to happen, and in fact already did happen, is people asking "is Calzaghe gonna give Dawson a title shot? Cos he's a ***** if he aint".

Personally as a Calzaghe fan, YES I'd love for it to happen. But consider first, does Calzaghe have to? I know you selfish pricks don't care about jack **** other than your dream matchups coming true, but Calzaghe has nothing to gain from this fight. He's already established his legacy, and win or lose, this fight would be a really tough matchup for him I'll admit. Secondly, why should he give Dawson a shot? Bottom line is huge risk for very little reward. He already cleared out SMW, and I've said this from the beginning, JOE DOES NOT BELONG AT LIGHT HEAVY IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Sure i'd love for the fight to happen, but by no means does he owe Dawson anything. Even if he beat Dawson, I'm sure most of you still wouldn't give him credit anyway.

Chad Dawson is a fucking pretender. Glenn Johnson whipped his ass and he got a gift decision and now that he beat Tarver (Hopkins' leftovers) I'm supposed to jump aboard? I don't think so.

The only real fight out there for Joe now is a rematch of Hopkins because Bernard is the only guy out there who is in Joe's league.

If he beat Dawson I'd be ready to annouce Joe as the Top Fighter of our Era.

But that won't happen. I've been saying for over a year now, Chad Dawson is better than Joe Calzaghe. I wouldn't mind if Joe didn't fight him and I don't expect him to.

But if Joe beats Chad that erases any doubt ever.

Calzaghe would beatdown Dawson for sure
I'm thinking the same thing, it would be purely academic. Joe should do it and retire. He'll have cemented his legacy.
