2 Straight Fights and Two Straigt knockdowns...

    Impressive for Calzaghe?
I had him winning against Hopkins, and Roy, but he got dropped in both fights and did not look like a GOAT should.

I think the KD was irrelevant against Jones, when he won the next 11 rounds, in fact the win was more impressive given the perilous position he was in after the 1st.

Of course they do, but in back to back fights against 43 and 39 year old fighters?

Then Muhammed Ali and Joe Louis are not great fighters, because they were both down more than once in their careers. Ali went down against Cooper and Frazier. Louis went down against Braddock, Schmelling, Marciano, etc.

In fact, Louis was KOed twice, once in his prime, and once when he was the same age as Joe Calzaghe.

Not forgetting Calzaghe's physical prime was probably about ten years ago and it was a forearm that knocked him down vs Roy.

coming back from any adversity in the ring is always great, period... whether from KO or rallying back in the fight... Joe has displayed such things.

Calzaghe is most vulnerable in the early rounds and it's part of boxing to get knocked down, it's how well a fighter comes back that matters and Calzaghe comes back very well.

You make them sound like nobodies. We saw what Hopkins did to Kelly, and Jones still has power to drop Joe. They are elite fighters and legends. If the old saying is true about "last thing to go is the punch", then age doesn't factor into it as much as some might think. Calzaghe has an iron chin, you can knock him down but it makes him like an angry wasp, and most likely you'll get your ass stung.

Roy Jones has been KO'D twice by B level fighters, therefore he is not great?
