Financially, probably not though I don't see why he wouldn't be able to draw 50,000 or whatever in Wales. For his legacy it would definitely be a big reward if he were able to beat Dawson. The reason being is because Calzaghe's biggest criticisms is that he never fought a prime, P4P champion. If he were to retire now his legacy would always be questioned.

I don't think Calzaghe really has anything left to prove. If people will not admit that he is a world class elite fighter now then they never will I don't think. If he beat Chad ppl woud just say "Dawson was overhyped, he lost to Johnson, etc etc. Joe needs to rematch BHop to prove himself". It never ends with **** like this.

Legacy wise? It would be unbelievable.

            Depends what matters the most.
A win against Pavlik would've done wonders for Joe but a win against Dawson wouldn't match that IMO.

Don't get me wrong it would be a good match but Joe would beat him.

Not at all true. Dawson at 26 (with only 27 fights) is better than what Joe did at that stage in his career. The only fighter that he has beaten when he was that young was Eubank, who at the time was not as good as Dawson's last two opponents.

A RISK! something calzgahe is not familiar with. you think almost being ko'd by old men he is really gonna wanna step into the ring with someone bigger stronger and faster than him not to mention a better boxer. get real. he will retire with his bum money.

I'd like to see this fight.
Chad fights nothing like Jeff, but carry on...
