From the Eubank fight to the Lacy fight was his best fighting. After the Lacy fight he started to get worse in nearly every fight, though it wasn't a quick drop at all. He is still fighting very well, but he is neither as quick, as aggressive, nor as powerful or as good defensively as he was between those two fights.

Have you seen the Reid fight? Honestly? It wasn't a gift decision. It was a very close fight that I think Calzaghe just stole. It was not deserving of anyone calling it anything even close to a robbery. It's not as if Reid won 8-9 or more rounds is it? Then again, I know that you haven't seen the fight. So he nails Jones and two days later, yes that is 2 whole days later all of sudden he is ducking Dawson and he needs to prove himself against him.

The fact is Calzaghe won't ever be able to do right by any of you no matter what he does. If he beats Hopkins in a rematch you'll say so he should as Hopkins is old and if he beats Dawson you'll change tact and say well Dawson was unproven anway. Like the whole Pavlik and Lacy thing.

to answer your question "bhopreign" ,dawson hasn`t proved himself
he was very lucky to get a decision against johnson (who fought clinton woods 3 times and only won 1)
he also beat a washed up tarver(who was made to look good against woods because clinton didn`t turn up)
we all saw what the real b-hop did to tarver!
i personally would like to see chad fight joe! but to prove himself he has to beat b-hop(who i am a fan of)
at the moment dawson is just the next jeff lacy or kelly pavlik(ie the next big american hype waiting to be schooled by the likes of hopkins or calzaghe)
