I bet you Fat Yanks loved that first round, eh?

TBH, I was surprised that Roy - while still shot - wasn't as shot as I'd been expecting. (Is that fair to say, Pisspac, or are you gonna call me a homer for that?)

I expected him to be poor from the outset or maybe after 2/3 rounds at most - he looked shot to Hell against Tarver the third time and hasn't done anything to make me change my mind since. I mean, just open your EYES, for God's sake. However, the guy had enough to be reasonably active for 3-6 rounds.

I DO feel a bit of a **** for predicting a TKO for Calzaghe... I largely based this on how vulnerable Roy had looked previously, and also because I envisaged that sometime after the sixth round Roy would be in a position where his stamina was faltering and he was vulnerable ready to be taken advantage of. That DID happen, but Joe's power has just gone, hasn't it? I mean, I know he was never Earnie Shavers, but he was hitting a LOT harder against Lacy. That said, some may have stopped the fight on that bad cut so I could have saved face with a TKO victory (which is what I predicted... a TKO, not a KO).

After one good round - and Joe's looking old these days, too (not an excuse before you start) - I just gave Roy one or two, that was it.

Joe pretty much pissed it, though Roy was gutsy. Obviously if Joe had more power then Roy would have been ****ed as he was pretty much doing whatever he wanted in there from round 3 on.

Roy was SHOT. I said he was SHOT. Not THAT shot... but SHOT.

    Easy pick, really.

Oh yeah... Chase... I'm on holiday for a couple of weeks, forget what we said about avatar/thread/sig bets, I don't wanna put you through that. I was gonna make you post a story about sucking off Roy, but I'm feeling generous.

Just the points will do. That goes to everyone else that owes me points.

I kind of saw this outcome long before it happened, save for the knockdown.

I predicated a knockdown of Calzaghe for Hopkins back in April before it happened, because I could see how it would go.

I would've never predicted a knockdown of Calzaghe for Jones.

Stick a fork in Roy, he's done. Though his heart is still as lively as it ever was.

I loved it. I had a burger hanging out of my mouth and yelled **** yeah. After that though I had a sick feeling that Hopkins v2.0 would happen again.

He was every bit as shot as I said over and over and over and over that he was. He. Was. Shot.

I really really hated Roy fans in the weeks leading up to this for giving the usual "he's back" spiel. I mean how long can this bull**** go on? Til 2012? ROY VS DAWSON BABY! RJ IS BACK!

Bull****. Go blame another one on God, Roy.

Calzaghe doesn't deserve **** from this fight, just like I said, but since there's no one else really to fight (I mean everyone else is still under 38 so they don't qualify as opponents) he might as well retire. Cong**** on making it to the finish line without ever taking a risk, Joe! You da man!

And that knockdown was totally a wrist shot. Not sure I've seen that happen before, but I guess a KD is a KD.

Now how the **** did Danny Williams lose?

To be fair, Diego, you did seem to think that Lacy was a risk. Though I do PARTLY agree.

Anyway, **** this trivia, important matters... Danny.

Have you seen the fight? It was like he was on drugs. Totally head****ed, not even paying attention, mind elsewhere all night long. I've never seen Danny KO'd (he always gets to his feet and has to get the ref to stop it for him) but he was nearly properly out tonight. Didn't tumble down, went down like a sack of **** and only just made it up at about 9.

I laughed at the knockdown, that's for sure. My joking prediction actually occurred When Jones failed capitalize I knew the fight was already over, this version of Jones has no hope of winning fights on points.

Lacy was a risk, I'll admit that. I can't say that in hindsight only.

Not a great fighter at all, but a good risk

I was watching a stream so I'm not positive? Didnt Joe pretty much win the first round too before the kd? I thought he won all 12 rounds, minus the kd.
