In postfight interviews AA's promotor Sauerland said that they are working on Abraham-Sturm. But money is the issue. "We need something like 6 million euros to make this fight. That kind of money cannot be generated from Germany alone, but we are working hard, as this is the natural fight now."

Furthermore Sauerland said that Valuev - Chagaev is scheduled for early spring.

Abraham Sturm is an awesome match in the MW division, they need to agree on whatever they can to get that fight done.

I am sure it will. It's now or never. Pavlik will likely fight a confidenceboosting fight next so he'll be unavailable. Some sense of urgency is also felt following AA's alleged weight-making difficulties.

AA can KO anybody. Even the great Hopkins. That AA power is sick! When you ask if it's a good idea I presume you mean what I would think the outcome would be. Well AA is more skillful than Pavlik and he is a much more difficult proposition than Pavlik. On the other hand AA is only .... what like 5 foot 1 ....... maybe a bit more.

In the end I think Hopkins will find a way to win. BTW germany does not talk about Hopkins. It's AA vs. Sturm they want.

True......I just heard Klaus-Peter mention B-Hop and it kinda shocked me because I know AA and Sturm is THE fight right now for the germans.

I still have a hard time seeing a MW KO'ing a guy who has really grown into his LHW body, who has shown a good chin all through his career.

Man, this would be a terrific card out of Germany, even for Americans, which is usually hard to come by. Americans generally seem to think that cards fought outside of America are lower quality, because there are usually a couple of names on the card that they don't recognize, but...
