WHEN i take over Boxing and CREATE a LEAGUE...

    ... I'm gonna change the standing 8-count to a standing 5-count.

... I'm going to have only 1 champion per division.

... I'm going to influence current champions to join by promising they will be a champion if they join my league, however once titles are unified they are permanently unified until there is only 1 champion

... I'm going to set up a retirement program for fighters.

... I'm going to set up a national union for fighters

... I'm going to set up a national commission

... I'm going to make 8 ounce gloves for the 154 pound weight class and below.

... If the above one works out no problem, i'm going to get 6 ounce gloves legalized and put in place for the lowest 3 or 4 divisions.

... I'm going to regulate salaries so that fighters make the most money by facing the best fighters in their division, regardless of whether or not there is a more popular fighter in the division.

... I'm going to give cash prizes for exciting fights and for winning a fight. If the crowd stands and applauds, u get a certain amount of cash bonus.

... I'm going to give cash prizes for the end of the year awards. The FOTY award gives you a large cash prize, like 200,000 bucks each, and the runner up gets like 50,000 bucks each. Fighter of the year gets like 250,000 bucks or something like. Maybe those are way to much, idk. ANd instead of plaques i would give out rings.

... I would give cash bonuses to champions who stay active and fight 4 times a year

... I would also place all title fights in the champions hometown. No more taking a title fight and throwing it to china or some ****, just to get a little more money. The champ gets to fight in his hometown unless he decides he doesnt want to.

    And a whole lot more.

    Any more ideas?????

National union=american fighters only? What about all the other great fighters from other countries.

And what if great fighters refuse to join such union? They other leagues may form and then you have all sorts of different leagues and one champion per league and you have the same problem you have today.

well the point is the union will favor the fighters, so there wouldnt be a reason not to join.

MMA fighters dont join UFC because the money isnt right or they dont like the benefits or whatever.

A national union would favor the fighters, and we'd have insentive to join it.

And yes it would start just being for fights held in the US, cause it makes for sense.

U cant have a WORLD union, it would be impossible to regulate. We'd have to set up a seperate union in each county that has the same ideals

it would be difficult to regulate a league like that.
given boxing is worldwide, a few strictures and regulations could be put in place, but all that would not be plausible.
a loose orginization (to start at least) would be the best.
appoint a commissioner, regulate the belts, create a board of directors and set up a promotional team.
