You know, I don't really believe the rumours about Gary Lockett throwing the fight.

I mean it could have happened for sure because Pavlik isn't really in Gary's class despite the bad style match-up but Lockett has always been an inconsistent fighter.

One night he can perform like the top 3 p4p fighter he is and then on another night he will look mediocre.

It all depends on which Gary Lockett shows up which is why I went with Hopkins by a close split decision.

Don't get me wrong, it could go either way but Hopkins might pull it off in the end by being the fresher of the two.

Pavlik was softened up by the beating he got from Lockett. Gary does that to people, he ruins careers, people are not the same after fighting him. Pavlik has not won since. Hopkins may hold, head butt and get a gift against Lockett, but he will never be the same even if he does beat Gary The Great.
