If you start counting when Bute goes down, he clearly beats the count. It didn't matter that the ref's count was off. Bute still beat the count, and they weren't going to stop it. Andrade just waited too late is all.

I think Andrade KOs him in a rematch

If the rematch happens, looks like I'm getting plenty of action.

I think Bute wins the rematch without much trouble, since he now knows what to look for.

its a shame . . . i was at the fight and it still think it was a robbery. ref should have called it, but bute did show heart by dragging himself up, but i think andrade is the true champ. in the rematch is still really hard to pick a winner cause andrade was clearly out boxed for 10 out of the 12 rounds . .. but on the other hand he did KTFO of bute.

it seems like they may both have eachothers numbers. if bute can stay on the outside for 12 he wins if andrade can get on the inside more and earlier bute is done.

one thing is that andrade said he was never hurt in the entire match and i believe him but he has the power to hurt bute, so i would have to give the edge to andrade. but bute has shown us he knows how to box andrade has many more tools and is faster and sharper.

either way if/when it happens it should be an excellent fight!

Bute got to his feet and beat the count. The idea that a fighter has to be fit to continue is a modern invention for the safety of the fighters and is of course the right thing to do, but at that stage of the fight there was no further danger to Bute because it was after the bell. If the referee had continued to count out a fighter who was on his feet after the final bell had gone then that would be a clear robbery.

Don't forget that in the early days there was no eight count, no "are you OK to continue" and no having to show you can walk forward. As soon as Bute had just his two feet on the floor Andrade could continue to hit him.
