Taylor always had suspect defense but I don't know if Hatton can take some of the shots that Taylor landed against Chavez, tough fight to call.

Meldrick was simply too fast, and Hatton was never the kind of the puncher that Chavez was( or as good) and he doesn't have his pint point accuracy either. Ricky is a brawler and even in Mayweather, he didn't see the kind of hand speed and slick volume punching that Taylor would bring. I like Taylor by UD, possibly late stoppage from accumulation.

I see Taylor outlasting Hatton in this one. I don't think Hatton has enough power to really bust Taylor up enough to do anything to change the fight in his favour. He doesn't have the power of Chavez and I don't think he could have knocked him down or even hurt him enough.

I think Taylor would have simply thrown too many combinations and been way too quick for him. Hatton would land and even get in some decent shots but just not enough to beat the amount of punches thrown by Taylor. Semi-wide UD for Taylor.
