He needs to defend it, a fight against Gomez would be very interesting. And if he doesn't want to defend the title against the mandatory he should be stripped.

My opinion is that there's not much money to be made in the heavyweight division no matter who you face(unless he fought his brother but that's not going to happen). When there's an absence of a big superfight, the next biggest thing is a fight for the titles. And if Vitali wants to keep that title he has to fight Gomez first. Then he can try to fight Valuev and unify.
