From a Filipino newspaper. Apparently, Nonito Donaire spent too much time "training"with his wife then training for his fight. Here's the article:

MANILA, Philippines—The sub-par performance of world flyweight boxing champion Nonito Donaire was a result of deficient training aggravated by the interference of the boxer’s wife, a highly reliable source told the Philippine Daily Inquirer Thursday.
“From Day One, the wife was always there, the reason schedules were ruined,” the informant, who requested anonymity, said in a text message from the United States.
Nonito Donaire Sr., officially the champ’s trainer, earlier said his son was so sluggish he was lucky to win via a sixth-round TKO over mandatory challenger Moruti Mthalane of South Africa in their IBF flyweight title clash at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas last Sunday.
Nonito Sr. said he was far from satisfied with his son’s showing but was glad that the 25-year-old champ was declared winner after his foe suffered a dangerous cut close to the eye.
The champ’s poor stand was blamed on several factors such as the long layoff and an injured left hand finger, but the informant singled out the undue interference of Donaire’s wife, a martial arts athlete, as the main culprit.
“Have you heard that Nonito’s wife interfered a lot with her husband’s training?” he asked. “Nonito Sr. was often left in the corner and he was not happy about it. The Donaire family was not happy.”
In an earlier interview, Nonito Sr. confirmed that “from the day his son started training for Mthalane, he never left his wife’s side.”
“This was his sloppiest performance ever,” the champ’s father said. “After five rounds, I thought Mthalane won two and Jun three. It was close, so he could’ve even lost.”
Donaire, who could go one division up and face the celebrated Jorge Arce of Mexico, said he understood his father’s displeasure.
“I know he wants to motivate me to work harder,” the champ said.
Explained Nonito Sr.: “Jun is capable of doing much more because he’s so talented. I just hope his head stays in place. He has to maintain his discipline. If he fights that way against any of his prospective foes, he could lose.”
Nonito Sr. said his son’s showing on Sunday was his worst since his days as an amateur.
