so by roy saying joes gonna have to kill me to beat me... i dont think hes even entertaining the thought of losing
I understand what your saying but this is no way anything like the comment Roy Jones made to Joe Calzaghe. Comparing Calzaghe to a girl that you are going to wrestle doesn't exactly compare in my eyes. I think Jones is being smart, knows he is the underdog, knows that there is a chance he will lose, and is ready to do anything in his power not to make that happen.

Roy Jones Jr KO9 Joe Calzaghe =P

In one way I like and admire this comment. He's passionate for the sport and his country. But before it he said something like, now we have someone that doesn't say people aren't equal. Infact it was more blunt than this, effectively saying ***** is stopping racism or something. Listen back, he really is. Whether he meant it or not I don't know but pretty naive controversial thing to say.

I'm all for a bit of nationalistic competition and banter. But Calzaghe, a white non American has not come over to be racist or attack his people, or him. Don't bring too much politics into it, it's just a sport.

Still it's good to see Roy passionate, he undoubtedly cares deeply for the sport and his country which is highly admirable and clearly motivating him, which is cool.
