    Joe's excuse after the fight:

" I didn't realize touching gloves before round one would have such a dramatic effect on Roy!!, Hopefully when he get out of the hospital he'll be well enough to realize I'm really not his daddy!"

I know exactly what you mean but the first 6 punches in your GIF are legitimate punches and then he starts to slap once Manfredo ducks down to about 3 feet...fair enough, they were open gloved slaps no mistake, but then again he couldnt exactly throw much else without getting way down low himself...nice uppercut on the ref to finish all the same...

I'm not defending the slapping, we can all see that it happens and it doesnt look great, but the poster was stating that he had no opinion and then based an opinion on a 30 sec flurry and added that the stoppage was garbage...the first part is not the basis for judging a fighter overall and the second is a criticism of the refereeing...but yeah, he slaps as well as doing other things

I think I clearly stated I still had no opinion on calzaghe, I said "IF" that slapping style is how he fights then he's garbage.

I guess i'm wrong...... But Calzaghe's won over Jones still didn't appreciate me... If he win over Wright or Dawson or Hopkins rematch it would be a good Legacy for him and people will props him bigtime..

You are stating an opinion. Read the last three words of your sentence. That's your opinion. Get it?

Jones conceded post-fight that Calzaghe was more of a man than he expected. Though he knew Calzaghe would throw about 100 punches a round, he didn’t expect them to have much zip on them. He was shocked when they were hurting him, however.

“He won the fight, he definitely won the fight,” Jones said. “Those pitty-pats were a little harder than I thought. … I couldn’t figure him out.”
