Should An Undisputed Champion Have To Fight On A Challengers Home Turf?

People that think Roy Jones Jr ducked Darius seem to think just that.

Roy Jones Jr held the IBF WBA and WBC Light Heavyweight belts, Darius held the WBO belt.

When you are the recognized Light Heavyweight Champion you fight where you want to fight, not where the challenger wants to fight...

They don't need to but I liked it when world champions actually fought all around the world.

That's the main thing I have a problem with.

I hated how people say that Roy ducked Joe and Dariusz because he never fought them. Those guys weren't leaving their hometown's anyway let alone to fight prime Roy Jones.

But would the fight have made more $$$$$ over there? Maybe. And I'm sure that comes into the equation for both parties. Obviously the champion usually doesn't want to risk it because of the possibilty of getting robbed on scorecards, biased refs, and the mental aspect of everyone against you.

This sport is about money though, just gotta weigh the pros and cons.

That's why too many belt in the dvision sucks... 1 belt per division is better....

Its where the money/fame is that a champion should fight, I really dont blame either RJJ or Darius for the fight not happening, RJJ was making ridiculous money fighting on HBO in the states while Darius was making alot of money fighting in Germany.

They both dont seem to want it enough...I heard Darius came over to the US to watch one of RJJ's fight but then left..

Can you blame Jones for not wanting to fight in Germany
You have to get a knockout to win a draw over there...
