What was all the hype about Panchito Bojado?

For all I know he is **** now, but I wasn't into boxing when he was on the rise and from what I hear he was a great great prospect, now I wanna ask, what was so great about him?

I just remember how soft his body always was. I couldnt believe you could be that highly regarded and that out of shape. He looked like a fat little kid.

He had a very good amateur career, got signed up by a good manager and promoter when he turned pro and had good potential, never lived up to it though.

I actually think that IF he buckles down and gets in shape he could still be some small time champion and be Zab Judah esque as in being a good gate keeper and measuring stick of how good somebody really is.

He started at 130 looked great, light years ahead of his few fights he had, food and not training like he should then allowed himself to gain too much weight and fight at 140 then 147. But had he had proper eating habits along with proper training he could have stayed at 130. The guy fought with fat on his belly later on as he gained weight. But early Panchito Bojado probably only Tony Ayala comes to mind of the greatness people talk about a young prospect. I and many belive Bojado through it all away. Or thats just my thinking. Food is a terrable drug, desire some of us have it more then others.
