King is getting off lightly, merely a fleabite compared to what he's stolen from igno

Qiuite a coincidence that, on another thread, just an hour or so ago I sent in a scathing post about Don King, I said that he deserves to spend the resty of his life in jail. His China Promotion has matched up Barrera with an unknown called Danny Ventura who's record is 25 wins (20 KO's-meaning that he's a wild swinger) and 19 losses of which he's lost 16 by KO, and I mean KO, not TKO. Of his last 10 fights he's lost 7, all by KO.

So he's a chopping block, programmed to be well beaten up for the gratification of a Roman Arena mob. How disgusting.

Nothing is bad enough for such a bloodsucking scoundrel. JOHN RUIZ GOOD LUCK...I always liked you anyway, contrary to many others. You do the best you can with what you've got, and I applaud this.....

Oh that never happens anywhere. Never in Thailand, never in the Phillipines, etc etc.
Mismatches are an ugly fact of boxing and always have been. King isn't alone in this.

Ruiz was a horrible champion, but he managed to fight almost everyone he could fight. Never ducked anyone! He deserves his money and they should have gave it to him with interest for the time he waited to get it and the lawyer fees he has had to incur.

Don King is not to different than most promoters. The all get sued from Arum, to Goosen, to Shaw, to Seminole. But Chris Byrd put it best when he was champ. "I would rather get promoted by Don King because even tho he stiffs you, you still get paid more than with any other promoter. I will just sue him and get the rest later." It like having stock in Don King. He is doing better than AIG.

Yes it does happen there, but the fighters are trying to make a dollar, and pull themselves and their families out of the most abysmal poverty, and the promoters there are generally small who don't make that much out of a show.

But Don King, in the greatest country on earth, with high standards of behaviour, has no such excuse. If he'd been served with his just deserts, he would have spent about 25-40years in jail for 2 murders, without even going into what he's done to almost every fighter he's handled (except for the lucky few)....

You don't recall,or maybe even know, but Rahman was once a Cedric Kushner discovery, who brought him along to be the World Champ. When it came time to renew with Kushner, Don King got to Rahman's hotel just before he was setting out to meet Kushner and resign. He was the World Champ and Kushner had guaranteed a minimum of $5 mill plus, for his next fight.

Instead, King brought along $500,000 in cash, notes, spread it al over the bed, got Rahman to sign with him, which King KNEW, as did everyone else, would be to Rahman's detriment, and left Kushner waiting....and waiting....

I recall there was a 2 hour TV special about it.

We all know the story, in Rahman's next fight, he was KO'd by Lennox Lewis, having held the title only a few months, and, although I'm not sure, I think King dropped him. I could be corrected on this minor point. Rahman has never been nearly as good, nor nearly as much in the money since. I think at some stage-again- I could be corrected here- he filed for bankrupcy.......
