at this point it means little. he lost, and it's about moving on, and regrouping.

A fighter is only as good as his opponent allows him to be. That's why Pavlik didn't perform as well as he had in the past, he was facing an opponent who wouldn't let him be great.
I highly doubt a rematch will ever materialize that could test your theory.Comment

I think there was something wrong with Kelly but like one poster said
given Bhops performance a healthy Kelly would have only made it a little more competitive. HE got schooled. What I dont understand is why come out with this BS now BOBBY.
Kelly is gonna be better for getting his ass beat
just like JC is gona be better after getting schooled on Saturday.Comment

I'm sorry but Pavlik WAS aggressive and energized the entire night. He stated he was never once tired and kept coming forward throughout the whole duration of the fight even after taking some hard shots. The reason he didn't let his hands go more is because Hopkins didn't allow him. If you go back and really look closely at the fight you'll see that as soon as Pavlik would square up which is how he is effective, Hopkins would either move to the side or throw out a jab to disrupt his rhythm. When Pavlik did get off he couldn't touch Hopkins because he's too elusive, not to mention Hopkins was countering him all night.Comment
