I've said it before and I'll say it again, there are certain levels of great ones. Sugar Ray is on the Floyd Mayweather, Sugar Shane, Pernell Whitaker level. Then you got Ali's level, then way up in the sky, above the clouds, you got Roy's level.

This is just mind games. This is the Roy Jones being confident (back to himself). He's putting pressure on Joe more and more each day. He's making it seem as if this fight is all about if Joe is what "everyone" says he is. It's just Roy talking. People are reading to much into it...

Roy can play the mind games. It doesn't have to be in a hateful manner, even though that's how he wants to be....

Roy's hungry and talking like Joe's the student who's about to meet the professor! Class starts in 2 days! Don't be late!

        These comments sound awful.

I guess he knows what he's doing. It's a negative comment. Maybe he is trying to hype up how much of an underdog he is to further enhance a great achievement if he wins, but most of us make him a very dangerous slight underdog and others are picking him to win.

I'm not sure, but when is the last time Roy had to use this strategy of mind games like this?

Joe has already set a legacy at 168 and proved he is a very good fighter. He is undefeated and won a title in two weight divisions. He is regarded by many to be in the top 5, some have him as high as 1 or 2, P4P.
The only thing left is to prove he can close the show on a past prime, shot Roy Jones Jr. This is what "great" fighters do. Marciano did it with Louis; Holmes with Ali; Tyson with Holmes; Lewis with Tyson...and so on.
If he fails to do so, well, then....I can see Jones Jr's point.

confidence or lack of confidence is mindgames.

                Some psyche themselves up.

                Some underrate themselves.

                Regardless of the outcome.

I dont see Roy Jones having the problems that many of you imagine.

I see Roy outpointing Joe Olympic Boxing style.

i see ROY winning this fight. Calzaghe has nothing to be ashamed about if he looses to Roy, or vice a versa, but i see Roy winning...

I think its the Roy that has been humbled over the past few years and just watched B-HOP talk all that hate to lose a SD to Joe. I think he's just using a different tactic against him. Joe is becoming more and more of the bad guy (who left a bad taste in the mouths of everyone last go around) every day. I think Roy's trying to be the crowd favorite, be on the judges good side and to play Mr. Nice guy to Joe while putting a lot of pressure on him and his "legacy". Maybe I'm thinking to much into it. IDK... But I do know he (ROY) is confident. He's ready and as a VET that he is, he's just letting Joe know that he (Joe) is not the only confident one going into this fight.

Either way this will be a great fight.
