Stylistically Hopkins is a bad fight for Kessler because I'm pretty sure Hopkins would be able to neutralize Kessler's best punch, which is the jab and Kessler hasn't shown adaptability in the ring, which is something you have to have against Hopkins, so Hopkins by decision.

A Hopkins in topshape is a stylistic nightmare for Mikkel Kessler.

a: Hopkins spoils with clinching and grabbing; Kessler hates it.
b: Hopkins can fight dirty; Kessler hates it
c: Hopkins has a great overhand right; Kessler is susceptible to that punch.

What evens things is Kessler's speed, power, workrate and accuracy. Hopkins will have to pay to get inside.

Both fighters have a good chin although Hopkins is slightly better IMO.

So if Hopkins doesn't have the staminaproblem he showed against Joe he might take a decision or perhaps even a late KO.

If Hopkins shows his age it could however be the big break-through for Kessler.

In the end I think I'll go for a Kessler decision, but I would have a hard time arguing with other posters who see another outcome.

kessler is just another stiff, upright european style fighter (not saying all euros fight like that, its just what his style is called)

hopkins thrives on that straight up and down kind of style, plus kessler cant adapt
