I guarantee you the reason he has been out of the ring is because he is questioning his abilities and whether or not he wants to continue.
He saw where he was at, it put him into perspective. No matter what you do.. boxing is an honest sport and you can't lie to yourself because sooner or later you will find out just how good you are.
