    Why does Calzaghe rep Italy?

He wasn't born in Italy. His mother is Welsh. Yet I see the Italian colored "gum-shoe," Italian flag on his trunks, has the nickname "Italian Dragon," and so on.

Does he hate his homeland that much? Help me out...

No idea. As a really hopeless long shot I would guess that it is because his old man is Italian.

Italy is a tad bit cooler than Wales.

            The dragon represents Wales.

Italian Dragon is a way of him representing both his Welsh (Mother) and Italian heritage (Father).

            See Welsh flag.

            Whats so strange about that?

Well if can rep Wales and a country were his baldy father's from, then England shouldn't be a problem.

The color of the Welsh flag might explain the "gum-shoe" too. Didn't realize it was also red/green/white. Makes more sense now.
