Judging by his last performance I would say no. But then again looking at a fighters last fight might not mean much. Maybe Shane does have some fire left in him, he did manage to hurt & KO Mayorga's big ass who came in 10 pounds over weight and that was at 154.

Margarito vs. Mosley Nearly Done, Jan. 24 in Las Vegas

Richard Schaefer on Tuesday said that "Sugar" Shane Mosley has agreed in principle to a fight with welterweight world champion Antonio Margarito. If Margarito does likewise, the deal should be done in the next day or two. [details]

yesssssssss. never thought this one was gonna be made.

Not PPV either, which is amazing.

Should be a pretty full house, both guys from the area and this one should get a loooooot of hype.

I got MARGARITO by UD in what should be an excellent action fight

Wow, sure it's not ppv? If not that's great news for boxing fans- especially in this stagnant economy...

As for the fight itself, this is a great matchup between two very competitive warriors. I like Margarito by late round TKO...

respect to the Sugar Man...If he does what Cotto didn't (hold, stay off the ropes) he could win this, but no doubt Tony will be the favorite to win this.

                    What a ridiculous comparison.

None of those 4 fighters fight like any of the other 3... at all.

Margarito and Mosley are probably the closest in style.

                    Margarito's workrate shuts Mosley down.

I'm not sure if Mosley can win this but I will definitely be there rooting for him!

Damn, I haven't been to a Mosley fight since Vargas II!
