Short Answer: Bernard Hopkins on Roy

There might be two old men that everybody would like to see fight after Saturday night, you and Roy Jones Jr., if he beats Calzaghe. What do you think about that?

BH: Anybody can get beat in the ring, I like Jones because he's an American fighter. That's straight for the record, no matter the soap opera that's been going on for ten years. Jones isn't someone that I have the same itch to fight that I did all those years ago, especially when I became usdisputed middleweight champion of the world. When it was the right time for the fight to happen. Right now, I revive Jones' career. Right now, Jones needs Bernard Hopkins, I don't need Jones.

A lot of people are going to read this that don't know what the history is about, and I understand this. Fans don't really care about the bull****, and they shouldn't. If I go to my grave knowing that I beat two guys easily, almost knocked tow of them out, knocked one of them out, that basically changed Roy Jones' world around. That's Glen Johnson and Antonio Tarver. If I can go to my grave, and history shows, starpower, that I beat easily, easily, then I can live with that, I can live with that.

Roy Jones is into God now and he might not want to fight nobody or hit nobody anymore. I hope he does what he's got to do and take care of business. Do I believe he can beat Joe? Yeah. The fans and the judges who are going to judge this fight, I don't think they're going to let him slap his way to a victory especially if the punches aren't landing. I think I pulled the covers off of him when I exposed him.

Am I looking for a fight with Roy Jones if he wins? I've never turned down anybody. Never have, never will. But at the same time am I going to be sitting at the press conference in the front row basically saying look at me I'm available, I will not play myself like that Greg. After this last performance, I done set the bar so high. It's good to be 43, I set the bar so ****ing high for my partners, Shane and everybody. I ain't fighting for belts no more. My name and legacy is on the line and I protect that more than anything in boxing, including the check.

I think RJJ is fighting for the same thing in this fight and it matters to ROY. If he wins and I think he will B Hop will want that pay check and ROY might want the fight let us wiat and see.Well said B Hop well said.
