Did anyone see what Hopkins did and said following the fight? He went straight over to Pavlik and told him not to let this fight ruin him. Hopkins told Pavlik what to work on, and that he would dominate the middleweight division for a long time if he stayed focused. Even in pressers after the fight he said that Pavlik can still become one of the greatest middleweight champions of all time. I think Kelly will take the loss as a learning experience to shore up some of his flaws, and he'll wreck Abraham and Sturm all day.
Just like in college football, it's better to get a loss early in the career and move on than it is to get it late where the legacy is at stake.
