I'm finally back from my three month vacation and ready to post on my favorite boxing website of all. Does anyone expect much from Danny Boy in this fight? He was lucky to escape Tyson and now he's fighting against the most skilled heavyweight in the world. I see Klitschko taking him apart about as quickly as he did Johnson if not quicker. Anyone taking Danny in this one and if so why?
Klitschko vs Williams...Does anybody really care?

MOST SKILLED??? he is big and strong, but how can you say most skilled when you have fighters out there like Toney and Bryd, they are skilled VK is just Big. I think it could be a good fight, if danny can take Tyson's best shots i think he can take VK's. I wouldn't put my money on that but thats why we watch the HW div, because of the possibility of the upset. i just hate i have to and will pay to see this ****.Originally posted by vandaNEXTlegendI'm finally back from my three month vacation and ready to post on my favorite boxing website of all. In the heavyweight division I really wouldn't underestimate anyone. If Vitali boxes the way he did against Sanders, Johnson, he should defeat Williams by the 5th round. Williams beat Tyson because Tyson had no power behind his shots after he injured his knee. If Tyson was healthy 2nd round knockout would have been my prediction. Damn, I am sticking up for a guy I can't stand, but I have to call it like it is.Comment

Tyson had williams done in the 1st round, if it wasnt for danny boy hanging in their on mikes shoulders it would have been over...It amazes me when williams was rocked and about to fall mike walked forwards like "lean on me"...
Vitali would do the opposite..Vitali never runs but always backs up and vitali has a tendency to back up after powershots, so if vitali rocks him good and steps back it will probably and most likely be over....Thats just my 2 cents...Comment

lol....there we go defending tyson and his excuses....the man got beat....he would not have won.....williams is a better boxer than he is....tyson is a chump...its over.....end of all excuses...or wait lets not give an excuse this fight lets just bite the guys ear off so they stop the fight.....Comment

Tyson is old, mentally unstable, his power is fading or damn near gone, and he has no heart anymore.Originally posted by RockyMarcianolol....there we go defending tyson and his excuses....the man got beat....he would not have won.....williams is a better boxer than he is....tyson is a chump...its over.....end of all excuses...or wait lets not give an excuse this fight lets just bite the guys ear off so they stop the fight.....
He's just trying to pay off his debts.
So people can't use Tyson as a reason why Williams will beat VK.
VK will beat Williams and I'll bet on it.Comment

I don't think I would put money on him, but I wouldn't put up money on the man HBO claims is the recognized heavyweight champ, either. Here's why:
1. Williams has momentum. He's on an incredible high right now. The Sept. 25 bout vs. Maskaev won't happen now, but the fact remains that he fought in July and then wanted another fight in 2 months. He's hungry. He's gone from a no-name to a big-name (by boxing standards) and rather than hit the talk-show circuit and do some ads and spend a lot of gloat time, he's ready to get back in the ring. He'll make some money for this one; how he does determines how much more money he can get. If he wins, he gets probably at least 2 more paydays (rematch, another opponent minimum). If he loses, the Tyson rematch isn't as lucrative and if he loses badly, he's the answer to a Trivia question in 5 years.
2. Williams has a chin. He took 3 rounds of Tyson punches to the skull and didn't go down. Say what you will about the punishment he took and the fact that he was down 5 points after 3 rounds. He stayed up. Go back and watch Vitali vs. Corrie Sanders. A slower, albeit stronger, yet still terribly out-of-shape golf pro had Klitschko staggered in the 1st noticeably and stunned him a couple times after that as well.
3. Vitali has a tendency to cut. This can hinder his effort and can also be damaging if the cut is a result of a clean blow and the fight has to be stopped.
4. Vitali still hasn't beaten "anybody" yet. So the heavyweight division is weak right now. He followed up a strong six rounds against Lennox (it's still impossible to tell if he could have stayed up and won on points or by KO vs. Lewis) with wins over a fat, out of shape Kirk Johnson (who had choked in his only other big match-up vs. John Ruiz) and a fat, out of shape Corrie Sanders. I'm guessing Danny will show up in shape.
5. Danny has a good KO pct. Khali Meehan, who was robbed in his WBO title shot Sept 4, had but one loss on his record - a 32 second loss to Williams, who floored him twice. Meehan should be holding a heavyweight belt when this fight takes place. Danny obviously has the power - and Klitschko showed he can be wobbled. Maybe a quicker, taller fighter could finish him?
Will this be a great boxing match? No. Is it even a championship-caliber fight? Probably not. But it will answer some questions about the elder Klitschko, this unknown Brit, Mike Tyson, maybe Kali Meehan, in turn maybe Lamon Brewster, and perhaps, coupled with the Byrd/Ruiz main event PPV the same month, will help sort out the heavyweight mess.
I myself am bothered that the man I see as the best of the four champions has lost his last 2 fights on my scorecards and doesn't have enough power to knock anyone at this level out. I'd like Williams to be a titleholder. If it happens, I'm sure Vitali's lawyers will insert a rematch clause or something that keeps Danny from defending his new belt against Tyson immediately.Comment

Im not defending mike tyson, I am just stating the obvious...Watch that fight over...Mike nailed williams good it honestly looked like danny went to sleep and just extended his arms...Anyone who has seen that fight can back that up for me....Comment
