Lol, is it really that hard to understand?

One is ending his legacy and career fighting two old fighters, the other is fighting two old fighters to make the transition from great prospect into bona fide P4Per.

Reminder: Joe Calzaghe isn't in his prime either. He's almost 37 years old.

Chad Dawson has things to prove. Losing to a 40 year-old and beating another 40 year-old (who was never all that good anyway) doesn't mean he has a shot against Calzaghe.

What's next... Joe has to fight Bute? Andrade? Pavlik (LOL)?

How old were Lacy and Kessler?

Losing to a 40 year old? I could have sworn he beat Johnson. Or are we going down the path of stating the outcome of a fight by our own, personal opinion?

In that case, can Joe really be that good seeing as he was beaten by Robin Reid? Or by an ancient Hopkins? I mean, Joe's not unbeaten after all, is he?

          See what I did there?

I could see either of those fighters going to Reid and Hopkins. But I dont, because they were tight fights that could have gone either way, same as Chad Vs Johnson. I actually had Dawson sneaking it, despite looking decidedly shakey in some rounds.

As for Calzaghe's legacy, the simple fact is, there are always going to be doubts about it if and when he retires after RJJ.

IMHO, it's his own fault in waiting so long. If he had solidified his reputation long ago, he wouldn't need to go into the RJJ fight with so many questions still being asked.

Lacy and Kessler are enough of a legacy to go down as an ATG?

            Right, thanks.

And this is where our dialogue ends.

No but I thought Calzaghe only fights old men.

When he fights younger men, they arent good enough to secure a legacy.

              Yes. That should be that.

LOL. Rob Reid ADMITTED after the Calzaghe fight that Joe deserved the win. Check the video, and in particular, the post-fight interview. Calzaghe didn't do too badly at all considering his injury and the fact he was recovering from food poisoning. Pretty close, but Calzaghe clearly won.

Yes, Dawson lost to Johnson. I felt f**king awful for Glen after that horrendous decision. They made Chad the winner why? Because he can make more money and potentially has a brighter future than Johnson who is an old man (in boxing years). Simple as that. I watched the fight with no bias, as I'm not a particular fan of either, but Johnson deserves more respect than that. Disgraceful.

Hopkins lost. Yeah, Joe looked like ****, and Bernard looked like ****, but Joe wanted a fight. Hopkins rolled around faking low blows that didn't actually occur. Say what you want, but Calzaghe edged out a win, however ugly it was.

Anyway, no need to go down this road AGAIN. Like it hasn't been discussed to death already. Bottom line: Calzaghe beating Dawson would prove nothing, nor would it bring anything to the table financially. It wouldn't even be PPV. If anyone thinks Dawson will ever fight Calzaghe, I can guarantee it won't happen.

The only guy I'm really confident is going to win is Ricky Hatton.

I think David Haye could end up getting sparked, I have a bad feeling about that.

I think Roy is a bad style match-up for Joe and I really view Froch as a complete enigma, f.uck know's how good either him or Pascal really are.

I give Calzaghe props because he has remained undefeated. fellows believe it or not thats hard to do in boxing; whether you are fighting cabdrivers or not. granted, he beat a legend (hopkins) whether he is 40 something or not. now he is facing another legend in Jones, if he beats him what can you say. i heard the mention of dawson; he is not impressive. he should have stopped tarver, but didn't. also, glen johnson beat him physically. Calzaghe can outbox any of these young guys. just think hopkins was able to outbox pavlik, calzaghe would have embarassed him.

fools, how can calslappy take the credit for the hopkins win over pavlik? thats ******, each has his own style, hopkins may have something over pavlik but calslappy doesn't. only idiots would think that calslappy would beat pavlik because hopkins beat him period.
