I think there's is more money and popularity at MW. Plus he's probably having a hard time getting a title shot at 168, or even a big fight period.

There are bigger fights at SMW right now than at MW, and if he beats Lacy he is the mandatory challenger for the WBC title holder. Not only that, but with the other belt holders being broke-ass Euros, he should easily lure them in with HBO in his back pocket.

His fight with Lacy is to confirm the number 1 challenger for the WBC titlist (Froch/Pascal). Why would Jermain run from this?

He can beat Lacy no problem, but maybe he sees Froch as a risk that could damage his career? TBH, the main men at 168 that could give Taylor problems are Kessler, Andrade and Froch. He could beat them all at his best.

He hasn't even fought one fight vesides the Pavli fight at SMW. I see that as a catxch weight bout anyway. He can surely get bigger fights if he stops thinking abou tthe past and focus on hi sfuture. Eventually pavli will come up in weight SMW or LHW and then is JT is still looking to avenge his losess maybe he gets another shot? At this point Pavlik has his tall between his leges and his hand on his head scratching thinking to himself how did this 43 yr old beat me so badily??? He is probably going to get some other stuiff like the last he beat and take him out quickyl and loss his title in his 1st real deffense if he fights Abraham. So JT should move on and focus on otherfights and fighters.

            That's what I was wondering.

Even before he lost to Pavlik the first time, he wrote in the rematch clause at 166... that tells me that he has a lot of problems making 160.

I don't believe that article that he is considering going back down.

I do think now the blueprint for beating Pavlik is there, he may be able to defeat him in a 3rd bout.

It looks like Taylor and Pavlik are both stuck in the Theory of Triangle

Before I was giving Lacy maybe a 10% Chance, but now it is abundently clear that Taylor is not focused on this fight and is most definetly underestimating Lacy...therefore I now have the fight at 55/45% for Taylor...Don't at all be surprised to see Lacy win a desicion on this one.

I might just drop some coin on Lacy....

I'll bet my measily points if anyone wants to..I'll take Lacy

If Taylor can fight at 160 lbs there is a strong possibility that he could rule the division for many years. If Pavlik and AA are moving up within a year as expected the division is there for the taking.
