Punch just as hard? Does the higher KO ratios against better competition not indicate who the harder punchers are? lol

      More belts=more mandatories.

Vitali knows Valuev and himself both have mandatories to take care of first and both will get that done, no problem.

Heck yea, just like he wanted no part of the faster, power punching of Samuel Peter. Daunting is the word that comes to mind when thinking of the faster Juan Carlos Gomez. LOL

JCG will do far worse than Peter if that fight happens. He will not see the 8th round with a non-rusty Vitali. Bank on that.

            Single Champions..........phooey

I really don't understand what all this bloody nonsense about 1 champion is about. I've just read a worthless post which suggests that if VK beats Valuev one Klitschko can then retire to allow the remaining one to fight for a single title. Or some such crap I don't retain useles rubbish long enough to get it down accurately, but since it IS rubbish, it doesn't matter.

Some "ferd" is asking a Champion Heavyweight Title holder to RETIRE from a multi million dollar livlihood, losing himself anything from $20 mill to maybe $100mil or more, just so that some nincumpoops can say....."now we have a single champion....."

I've lived through many years of "1 champion" and it affected the boxing world in no way differently than today's 4 champions. The world population is at least 3 times as big today as it was then, so multiple Boxing Associations are a normal outcome.

So what happens to all the contenders, some of whom, I agree, are useless? NOTHING. They continue to make fights, win, lose, draw, etc. The only one who loses both his living and his status is one of the Klitschko brothers, thus depriving us ALL from seeing several or many fights in which he would probably excel, and beat his opponent.

To have one Champion won't make the surviving K box any better, nor indeed any of the contenders. They'll ALL remain at their present level, until they move up, or down, according to the usual machinations of their managers or promoters.

In short - I should say "in longth"- the whole bloody matter isn't worth the spit to put it out if it was on fire, and...on fire it certainly is NOT. OPractically no one cares a damn about it, they care only about seeing good fights, and getting value for their money, not as often attained.

All the rodonontade in the world will not persuade ME that 4 champions isomehow evil, and that 1 champion is wonderful.

STEELHEAD.........Lets think about that user name for a minute...........Time's up !!! So you doubt if VK is "serious" and now you say you've heard a rumour that he's ducking Juan Carlos Gomez....

Having a steel;head I'm rather surprised that any thought would get through, and if it did, it undoubtedly would be garbled because of the effect steel has on "rays from outer space". I've never heard, and, I believe neither has anyone else -who has cogent thoughts- that Vitaly Klitschko has ever said anything he didn't mean, since neither Klitschko emulates the average boxer who spews out all sorts of claptrap.

Don't misunderstand -if your steel head allows- they do it partly to promote fights to aid their earning power, and partly beccause of their low level education, and street upbringing, which may breed a " macho" personality. There may be other reasons. Can you think of any????

About Gomez, you are not far wrong, that is, about Gomez' ability, for which I have the highest regard and respect. I've written many times that he should have had a heavyweight title years ago, that is, based on his ability. But, facing hard facts, his personality and ****** personal behaviour has spoiled this chance.

Where I disagree with you is that I don't believe that V Klitschko would ever avoid anybody, no matter how skilled, especially some one 4 inches shorter and probably with a shorter reach. To digress for a moment, I don't know if anyone has noticed that NEITHER Klitschko has a long reach, in fact rather short, considering their size.

So Steel Head, don't go out in the rain, as who knows what might happen. You might find that your head isn't steel at all but iron, which rusts much easier..

              Then where'd you be.........??
