Could Darchinyan over Mijares be upset of the year?

I mean, honestly, I can't remember many title unification fights that had such low expectations for one guy and such high expectations for the other.

People generally thought that Mijares would outbox Darchinyan all night, and Darchinyan would have to catch him with one shot to KO him.

THAT, didn't happen at all. Instead, Darchinyan won round after round, and then got his KO, and the most curious part of all? It wasn't by a one punch left hand... it was a beautifully set up combination ending with a savage left.

    What does everyone think?

It'd be really cool if one guy lost the upset of the year one year, and then won the upset of the year in the next year.

I think that means that person automatically has to get comeback of the year too, thoughts?

I already made a post like this expecting people to say yes. Ironically most disagreed. A lot of people think the Hopkins one was a bigger upset, and one guy correctly said Mora over Forrest although I think its Quintana over Williams

          There have been a ton.

I didn't see Campbell beating Diaz in any universe, but... that happened.

          Quintana-Williams
          Mora-Forrest

Although, I do think those get knocked out of contention because of resounding rematches the other way... Idk if it is supposed to work that way, but... that pretty much proves that the upset was a fluke.

I think right now it is down to the major three:

          Campbell-Diaz
          Hopkins-Pavlik
          Darchinyan-Mijares

Put Timothy Bradley over Junior Witter on that poll too along with the other 5 or 6 we've selected...

Regardless of the outcome of a second fight the first fight still happened which means its still an upset, and if bradley-witter is put on the poll i'm voting for that!!
