Took him to school? What was that the school of defeat?

Sucks for Joe that he will not be allowed to retire after getting beat by Jones. He will be forced to turn a 180 and ask for a rematch or to fight on because he wants to retire on a win.

Will be a sore subject on the morning of November 9th , 2008 for Joe Calzaghe.

Joe has gotta be careful man his got a lot riding on this...
If he gets beat even by a dodgy decision and his conned out of the fight his fcuked cuz his career is gonna get laughed at his gotta win this one..

What happens if he does get beat
                Does he still retire then?

No One Has Ever Out Boxed Roy Jones Jr.

PEOPLE.. we are talking about a undefeated boxer (not puncher) from Wales.. who fought his whole career in Wales.. who won a split decision against Hopkins... beating the greatest fighter of our era (even at 70%) IN NYC? It's not going to happen. RJ only losses came by knockout. Roy may have been knocked out but NO ONE HAS EVER OUT BOXED ROY JONES JR. I think it reasonable to argue that Roy is in better shape then he was against Tarver and Glen Johnson. Even still Calzaghe only chance is by KO.. that's why he says on 24/7 that he cant "pitty pat" against Jones like he did against Hopkins. But that is his style.. pitty pat. In his heart he knows that wont beat Roy Jones. So he's gonna try and knock Jones out. The problem is he may get knocked out in the process. Hopkins right hand which staggered Calzaghe all night is no match for Roy Jones right hand. How does he fix that? Hopkins speed with was enough for a split decision is no match for Roy Jones speed.. so how does he fix that? It's not going to happen. As Emmanuel Stewart said, "I see Jones style and hand speed giving Calzaghe a lot of problems." Manny said the same thing about Hopkins style before the Pavlik fight. Roy Jones is not a good fight for a fighter who fighter who relies on speed and boxing. Roy Jones is the epitome of speed and boxing.

Calzaghe stayed there for over a decaded fighting bums an journey men in his home country. he is overrated and wil get exposed
Joe is a skilled fighter and has good hand speed. He ruled a dicision on the less and whether it was 168 where no one cared about it enough to move into his relm or what. Hopkins was dogging out the 160lb for the same time period I wonder why the match was never made earlier between the both if them? Toy was King of the LHW around the same time how come that never happened? Maybe the money wasn't there or they had bigger fish to fry who knows? Either way 168 benefitted Joe for reasons and he stayed there and dnominated it. 45-0 is 45-0. I agree he might have wanted to beat a younger opponent before calling it quits but if you had a goal like I know I do once I achieve my gaol I bow out. Just like at the crap tables in Vegas or AC. You are up a few grand and then you put it all back chasing. Joe knows he is past his peak and he knows it is time to call it quits. he is no ****** man. he aint gonna chase after something he knows he will never grasp again. Greatness is measured in what punds, victories, money, what?
