whats sad is that thats all he seems to have, a HUGE punch and average everything else.

I agree, but he seems to have an excellent sense of range. Unlike a lot of raw, big punchers, he scores a lot of his KO's with straight hard punches and optimum range.

It was De Leon that battered Peņalosa for 12 rounds. Very few analysts have called that win controversial. De Leon controlled the pace and direction of that fight. De Leon also knocked out "Boom Boom" Bautista in the first round.

Filipinos have some great boxers but you can't jump out and call them the best in the world. Even Pacman handily lost to Morales in their first outing. He beat Morales in their subsequent outings but Morales was old by then and not the same.

Most reporters all around the world, including some in the Philippines, say the Marquez should have gotten the decision against Pacman. Max Kellerman says that Marquez beat Pacman twice. I am a huge fan of Pacman but he is not undefeated.

Right now, the only real high-profilke Flipino is Concepcion. However, we'll see what happens when he faces tougher competition. Best of luck to him.
