which of these two should be out of the current P4P list?

Mijares, who was outboxed and eventually KOed by a non P4P fighter or Pavlik who got schooled by an ancient P4P fighter?

    Mijares

    How about... both?

Here is how I envisioned the P4P list after tonight...

    1. Pacquaio
    2. Marquez
    3. Calzaghe
    4. Hopkins
    5. Vazquez
    6 or 7. Margarito
    6 or 7. Darchinyan
    8. Marquez
    9. Cotto
    10. Calderon

Darchi deserves to be in the top ten? Maybe he just exposed an overrated fighter. He salvaged a draw with Gorres (who floored him), and he was outboxed and eventually KOed by Donaire...between that time and now, I don't think Darchinyan changed much, he just happened to run into a fighter who didn't have enough power to make him think twice of going all out.

Two fighters who lose basically (or actually) every round in a fight are not part of the best 10 fighters in boxing. Take them both off.

          That's silly...

The Darchinyan of tonight > that Darchinyan against Donaire.

And that is coming from a Donaire fan.

Also... go ahead and see what everyone who is not Pinoy thinks of Darchinyan-Gorres. I'm sure you will get lots of support that was a fair decision, and will probably find even more people who thought Gorres won.

In reality, everyone knows the decision was bad and Darchinyan deserved it.

And, yes, Darchinyan easily deserves to be in the top 10.

I like both fighters but its the styles match up. That's kind of like saying that the Calzaghe that fought Lacy would dominate Hopkins in that same fashion, even though that's not the case. Put those same two fighters back in the ring together, and the fight will be the same. Donaire matched well against Darchinayin, because he wasn't discouraged and had the tools to exploit, and the awkward style didn't phase him.

Gorres isn't even supposed to be near the quality of Mijares and Darchinyan had a harder time fighting him...and I'm not even close to being a fan of ALA fighters. Mijares was never really known for his power, in this fight Mijares didn't have anything to deter a Darchinyan onslaught. Darchi hasn't changed much, he just ran into a fighter that didn't have power. He cannot be in the P4P list without facing again and beating Nonito Donaire.

I never thought that Pavlik was p4p material anyway.
