Is Vic-Mijares The Upset of The Year??

NO ONE gave Vic a shot at winning and even his most rabid fans felt on the inside that he only had a punchers chance. Well not only did he win by tko but he won nearly every round.

While were at it, will Felix Sturm ever return to the US and capitalize on the DLH Appearence

Sturm is your basic Euro champ, so he's probably not coming back until he's ready to retire.

This is the upset of the year if you think Mijares was a great fighter. I don't know why he was so overhyped. I assumed he'd easily beat Vic if he was half as good as people said he was. Vic is terrible. I said that before the fight and I'll say it now. He has one punch, no defense and a good chin. That's Vic. He fights one way and one way only and if you can't get around that, you are not that good of a fighter. Sorry, but that's the way it is.

I'd say Hopkins-Pavlik is a bigger upset given that most people thought Pavlik would be able to beat a 43 year old and couldn't.

I would say this is a bigger upset because both had supposed favorites that were p4p rated but while Hop dominated and got the decision, Vic finished the job

And Sturm is a bit better then Euro champ because he can best a lot of the MW's and not just the Euro mw's but he's gotta prove it in America

Nah, if anything it's a mild upset. I based my predictions based on Mijares's win - ko ratio vs Darchinyan's character, he's very tenacious and terrific power. In any level of boxing, you always have to have something for your opponent to respect you with, and this is what I was interested in finding out. I thought if Mijares got nothin' at all in those punches, then it was gonna be Vic's night. I also thought Mijares had it easy getting ranked in the top 10 P4P list. His claim to fame was beating a washed up Arce, really now.

Pavlik vs B-Hop is the upset of the year so far. How often do we hear a 43 year old guy beat a top rated, young, energetic world-champ!

I dont understand how people think its such an upset. In my opinion the tone of the two prefights were Pavlik could ko Hop but Hop cud still make it awkward and boring as opposed to Vic can only hope for a lucky punch but really has no chance
