From watching the last 6 rounds of the first fight it looked to me like Chavez was undertrained, and fought the wrong fight.

Chavez Jr. is slow, easy to hit and doesn't have much in his punches. Whenever they decide that he's ready for a big step up, I'm sure he's going to fail.
