Klitschko turn down Haye as replacement: According to Warren.

ALEXANDER POVETKIN has pulled out of his IBF/WBO world title fight with Wladimir Klitschko citing injury.

That’s disappointing as I like the Russian. David Haye was offered as a replacement but Klitschko wasn’t keen.

Haye fights Monte Barrett a month before. The Yank’s availability tells you all you need to know about him.

i heard an interview and Haye himself said there was no chance of it happening that Barrett fight was set and it was not an option for him to step in for Povetkin

I think Wlad-Rahman is pretty much set.

I highly doubt it's true, I mean if Haye was to offer himself as a replacement he woulda made sure everyone hears that.

And besides, Haye is set for bigger and better things, if he gets past Barrett(and Klitschko gets past rahman) they are up to set up probably the biggest heavyweight fight in european history, maybe even the biggest fight ever(for Europe).
And stuff like that, it does not get made over a week or two of promotions.

Agree...plus, I think Haye is trying to get the Americans to see more of him. Future Big fights have build-up fights. Haye vs. Klit in 2009.

I would like to see Haye on ESPN doing interviews or get on a talk show of some sort. He's comfortable in front of a camera and is quite good at it.

Haye said on Bunce's boxing hour that he wasn't offered the fight and he wouldn't take it if he was (offered it) because a fight of such stature would take longer than two months to promote.

Both guys are good infront of cameras.

Especially since Wlad's english is getting better and better.
