Angulo and Margarito fight similarly and they both have suspect defense, I doubt Angulo could have taken the shots that Margarito took back in July.Comment

i don't want to see angulo risk getting damaged this
early in his career.
i mean its one thing when second tier manfredo stepped up way over his head against slappy. it was a win win situation.
but for angulo to step up to cotto. imo he risks getting hurt physically and mentally!
i know alfredo has look good...but the level of comp... sure better than vanes but still not nearly world class.Comment

Someone started a new thread on this subject. Bumping this one. The count currently stands at 16 for Angulo and 17 for Cotto.Last edited by El Chicano; 02-16-2009, 11:36 PM.Comment

If you're talking right now, I think Cotto would just pick Angulo apart to either a late stoppage or a wide UD.
In the future, if Angulo can tighten up his D, and just continue to progress, I think he'd be too much for Miguel.
At the present time though, the experience of Cotto and defensive liabilities of Angulo says to me that Cotto would win and look impressive doing so.Comment

i suggest Cotto not to bring his kids and wife to ring side this time.Comment
