collazo definately should have beaten hatton after the hurting he put on him. he also beat the living **** out of hatton in the 12th, to the point where some ref's would have stopped it with ricky's head snapping back so much. after the fight, by looking at their faces, you could tell who really won the fight. ricky look like he got stomped out by a 350 lb dude wearing tims....

however, mayweather dominated hatton for the entire fight only giving up a few rounds when he was calculating how to dispose of ricky. both money may and collazo got wobbled by the lunging hatton in the 1st rd of their respective fights, not because they were hurt, but because the weird, aggressive, angle of hatton jumping in timed them at the exact right moment when they were off balance. loue went down, mayweather didn't.

lou also happened to be coming out of a clinch after the ref said 'break' when he was caught, and although that is slightly cheap, he also should have been "protecting himself at all times." both lou and may were then able to intelligently take that knowledge of how ricky lunges in, and turn it against him in the remaining rounds in terms of slick countering....

i am a big fan of Collazo's, but I would have to disagree with the subject of this thread. Lou is world class. Mayweather is the world's best. theres a slight difference in pedigree. mayweather's win was more dominant.

To those who said Lou looked like **** against Mosley, he broke his thumb in the 2nd round and was able to stay semi-competitive with an elite, world-class boxer/puncher like mosley for 11 rounds. Shane didn't slug it out with Lou, but chose to box him. I think that says a lot for Collazo that Shane had enough respect to approach him with that mentality. Lou showed a lot of heart in just fighting 11 rounds with a broken hand. That being said, I can understand how people thought he looked bad. I was wondering what the hell was wrong with him too in that fight until I found out about the hand and was like 'oh ****, no wonder....'

Exactly. Ricky clinched the entire fight, but collazo should have clinched the only thing that matters, the 'W.' Too bad HBO wouldn't let their golden goose lose to a no-name puerto-rican, slickster southpaw from Brooklyn.

Very similar to when Jermain ''beat'' Hopkins. JT was HBO's Golden Child and even though Hopkins was the champ, it was almost like BHOP was the one had to get the KO or completely dominate JT to win. Same story with Lou, only he was at an even more disadvantageous position, because not many people knew who was, even though he was the champ, and he didn't have the prestige of a unified title or 20 defenses, either.

Mspiegelo, not to get off topic but how long does it take for a flash designer to change the title of a website? Some guy is taking forever, no worries if you know please let me know.

Also, on Collazo, I believe the honus to take the title lies with the challenger, not the champion. Hatton didn't take the title, he was awarded a close decision where he did not dominate his opponent.

              I agree sir!

As for the flash question, I believe you are looking for Spiegelo, which is the name that my younger brother posts under. I am no flash expert, but it should not take long imo, depending on how intricate the flash element is. Does the title move, or do anytihng particularly crazy, or is it just a static image...? either way, if its getting serious attention from the designer, it is not something that should take a really long time....

No, I'm talking about a title like the one above us that reads Boxing Forum-Reply to Topic in the address bar. It shouldn't take like 4 days, right?

I need to get my baseball and duct tape and "fix" this issue then.

On the subject of Collazo, don't I look so awesome in this pic? Excuse my style, I was like 19 in the pic.

yea, something like that can take a few days, depending on how much other work the guy haves, etc... it can get compicated. if it takes like a week, something is probably wrong.

                  haha. nice pic with lou!
