If Thompson uses his height and reach, he wins, he lets Toney get inside, Toney wins, Toney can't really deal with a jab anymore.

That's correct! During Toney v RahmanII Rhaman's corner was yelling out to Rahman in 3rd that he was too close to Toney and Toney ended up wobbling Rahman bad and carved him up on the inside with head and body movement followed by precision counter-punching and that big right hand that gave Rahman the 'wobbles'.Comment

i think Toney will beat Thompson, because allthough Thompson is a Southpaw who has a height and possibly reach advantage in his favour....he is not quick at all and he is'nt the most skilled Boxer either.
Toney may have declined a lot but he has enough ring smarts to get by a slow Tony Thompson.Comment

yeah, to beat Toney you have to use the jab and fight in spurts but. Most people become so preoccupied with hitting Toney because he is so illusive, instead of maintaing thier discipline and using their advantages height and reach, they surrender those advantages by standing infront of Toney and they only realise what they are doing when Toney whacks them with a counter and lets them know they are too close and they have been drawn in.That's correct! Rahman used the jab well against Toney in the first fight and won the fight imo but, Toney was clearly out of shape he looked over-trained to me, that is one of Toney's biggest problems along with his poor diet he is too active.Comment

LIES!!!!!!
You will never, ever, see Toney in "great shape" for the rest of your days. If he was gonna do that, he would have done it before he turned 40(or whatever he is now).
The best you can hope for is that he comes in reasonably well conditioned beneath his gelatinous blubber(in terms of cardiovascular fitness).
Toney is a great fighter, one of my favs, but you delude yourself. I hope he can eek by Thompson, but I'm not so sure. But he will be fat, oh yes, he will be fat.Comment
