Why would I be surprised? There is a lot of tough competition out there even for a fighter as talented as floyd mayweather.

Not surprised, but ask me that in 3 to 5 years, after he's pissed away his entire fortune.

I think within 48 months, he'll either have already come back to the ring for money reasons, or will have at least announced his intention to return.

That's often about the age when they've run through their fortune and need to restock the cash drawer.

I hope Floyd doesn't do this, honestly, but the extravagant lifestyle, all the lackeys (moneypits, says I) he travels with, I just think he's going to be broke in a few years, and forced to get back into the ring.

I'd like to be wrong...I'd much prefer it if Floyd wisely invested his money and never had to worry again, but if he did, he'd certainly be one of the few in this sport that managed it.

                I agree.

After boxing there may be offers to do other things such as being a promoter but most fail at this task as seen before (Lenox Lewis?)

And this is the time where they make there money because it's unlikely they will be making such money after they retire so there gonna have to live off this money for like 30 - 40 years, the rest of there life.

But like George Foreman he was succesful afterwards, others like Iron Mike wasn't.

He is doing like he said last Decemeber "Taking A year Off To Enjoy Himself" I think he will fight again no question...c'mon this is boxing he ill fight again if for no other reason than money, and i'm not saying it won't be when he's way gone or whatever but I have no doubt he will fight again.
