Some sources are reporting Holyfield vs. Valuev is official

This fight, if it happens, will leave the heavyweight divsion open to ridicule.

This source is reporting it's a done deal for Dec 20.

I always liked Sauerland as a promotional company, but this fight will change my opinion of them.

What can you say about a division that grants title shots to Holyfield and Rahman in 2008?

Wlad giving a title shot to former world titleholder Hasim Rahman is okay, because 1) Rahman is a late replacement for the mandatory with few other options, 2) because Rahman is ranked #4 by the IBF, and 3) because he's just 35 (two years younger than Vitali who just had an impressive performance).

But Valuev choosing Holyfield is a disgrace, because 1) he's had plenty of time to find another opponent, 2) Holyfield is NOT ranked anymore by any sanctioning organization, and, most importantly, 3) he's 46 years old.

Or how about one where a old and fat Middleweight is still relevant?

        It's pathetic. That's what.

Toney really isn't relevant, the young heavyweights like Dimitrenko would have no problem against him. Sam Peter, who we recently saw against Vitali, defeated Toney twice.

Toney couldn't even decisively defeat the clubfighter Batchelder!

Watch for Tony Thompson to badly beat James "Belly's Out" Toney in their fight on Dec 13 in St Lucia.

Holyfield fighting Valuev is some really sick ****. Expect boxing to catch a lot of (well deserved) crap for that from the mainstream media.

Hulk knew he shouldn't have made love to Mrs Valuev in the 1970s.

Please let this deal fall apart. 2 champions looking for fights in December and instead of choosing each other they fight Hasbeen Rahman and Methuselah Oldyfield!

                  ****ing Grarararrararrrrrrrrr!

The HW division is already open to ridicule but this will worsen it.
