What about pac fighting a past prime barrera AFTER JMM had already beat him? What about pac fighting a past prime Morales AFTER zahir raheem had already beat him? what about pac fighting a complete bum in diaz that was far less competetive than a "shot" casamayor. Casamayor-Marquez was 100X more competitive than Diaz-Pac.

Damn i never saw this thread the first go around. I'm a huge Erik Morales fan he's by far my favorite boxer of all-time no close second! but man i really hope this fight doesnt happen because JMM would be padding in this case his awesome resume well with a done Morales which wouldnt be right just like Pac did in the 3rd fight against Morales! The only way i would be okay with his fight is if Morales were to fight a couple of tune-up fights and maybe get some of his old magic back. obviously he will never be the same fighter but the guy fought with so much heart that if anyone could do it its him in at least putting up a decent fight at this point. i will say he did the right thing in taking a long needed break from boxing because his body was ****ed from all the weight draining throught his career. with some dedicated training he could have some success in boxing still i mean not beating JMM but against some lower level fighters.

BTW he did not lose to freakin Diaz! Morales clearly won that ****in fight and it was just another case in a long list of judge robberies in boxing history. it was pathetic that the only Diaz won was because he was the "hometown" guy...
