    How does this happen?

Everyone should watch Margarito-Clottey the next time it comes on ESPNClassic at like 1AM (Central time for me at least)... he throws 1,675 punches... when Clottey is in the corner, he just punches and punches and punches and punches and punches... it's insane. I have no idea how he throws so many punches and doesn't tire out.

Seriously, it's a really good fight, and anyone who wants to tell me that Clottey was going to for sure win this fight is out of their mind. Please remember that Margarito throws more as the fight goes when the opponent starts to tire, which obviously happens after 4 rounds.

Margarito will win a rematch with Clottey for sure IMO.

Both fighters were injured that fight. One bad enought that it required surgery and postponement of their next fight. that fighter also happened to win the fight. It was a matter of will. One fighter had it, the other didnt.

Yeah, it makes me laugh that the excuse was that Clottey had a broken hand... which actually turned out to be a bruised knuckle...

Margarito had a ****ed up hand and ankle I think, and was more active than anyone in the history of the sport. Incredible.

It was no doubt Clottey was winning the first half of the fight, but whatever happened, injury or lack of confidence, he stopped throwing punches and went into defense mode for the second half. When someone is throwing millions of punches and is controlling the fight with his output, its hard not to score the rounds for him.

He was doing better in the early rounds, but... like all fighters, he was going to tire having to keep that pace up, and that's when Margarito takes over, because he is the exception to the all fighters rule. He just punches and punches until the 12th round ends.

Yeah I dont think Clottey can win vs Marg, which is why I want to see Williams vs Clottey.

I think you hit it on the button right there. Interestingly enough, the head of the Ghana Boxing Association has advised Clottey NOT to fight Margarito again any time soon.

I suspect Clottey's stamina, his will and ability to take it to the body are his weak traits. Amazingly, he's worlds better than Margarito in everything else. But those three things are a death knell against Tony.

Yeah, unfortunately, I wonder how much Margarito has left. He was quite impressive when he ran through Lujan, Cintron, etc. I feel like he was in his prime then. This version is still damn good but he's a tad slower now (if that's possible).

i totally agree he is amazing to watch anyways, and him against clottey is a good example of that. but against cotto it seemed to be on even another level and i cant see anyone including PW being able to beat him if he comes into the ring like that again.
