    Buchanan Legacy

Where does Ken Buchanan rank in Britains ATGs. I know he only held his title at 135 for a short while, but lost it to arguably the greatest lightweight ever.
Where do you place him in relation to Lewis, Hatton, Scott Harrison, Calzaghe etc ?

Ken was a fine boxer, who has some excellent wins on his resume, and of course he only lost his title to one of the greatest lightweights ever. He's in the British top 5 at the very least, alongside Jimmy Wilde, Kid Lewis and Lennox.

I'd personally have Kid Lewis as the British #1, but I wouldn't argue with anyone who has Buchanan there instead.

      Scott Harrison? Really?

Personally, if I was ranking the greatest British fighters then it's unlikely he'd make it into the top 20. Admittedly, I haven't given it too much thought but I'd have the likes of Lewis, Calzaghe, Honeyghan, Conteh, Watt, Woodhall, Benn, Eubank, Hatton above Ken Buchanan but that's just my opinion. What's yours?

Guys an Arsehole but he game - im 24 and twice his size and he started a fight with me! Lucky i didnt break his hip the Old Prick!

Good fighter in his day tho but IMO Lewis, Hatton, Benn, Hamed, Eubank, Calzaghe and probably a few others rate above him

It's unfortunate that his lasting memory with American boxing fans was him crumpling to the canvas in agony from a Roberto Duran shot to the nugs.

It's pretty much the first thing anyone remembers whenever Ken gets a mention. He deserves better really but I've never seen a better shot to the stones!!
