      true.

but that technically does not invalidate the general thrust of his true objective.

It depends who the competition are. If you're in a division where the best are American, then obviously to be considered the best you need to beat them. In calzaghe's case he never fought big names until well into his career. Those big names were Americans, but in someone else's case they may not be.

Like other people have said, it works both ways.

no not europeans but none are that good, i can't believe you throw out those guys names like their good or something. Byron Mitchell never beat anybody any good, Charles Brewer was never any good and had 9 loses when he fought Calzaghe, Omar Shieka ooo what a fighter, are you talking about the same Omar Shieka with all the loses? Jeff Lacy was never that good, a 1 dimensional fighter with poor stamnia and slow.

Dirky boy I can't believe you responded with those bums

At the end of the day its not where you fight its who you fight, we could go all day arguing about who has the better fighters, Europeans or Americans, but the fact is the two can fight each other any time any place if they want too but it doesn't happen.

Americans could find better fights in Europe in many cases, but they don't.

In the early stages of their careers Europeans fight Europeans and Yanks fight Yanks ... Only in the later stages do the two end up meeting in super fights.
